Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi (Selman Stërmasi Stadium) is a multipurpose stadium in central Tirana, the home ground of KF Tirana. The stadium is used mainly for football (soccer) matches. It was first opened in 1956, and it has recently been modernized with a better main pitch, central seated area, facilities around the ground and general lineaments. More improvements are expected.
As football (Soccer) plays a very important role in local culture, Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi is a very interesting attraction for those who want to understand better the spirit of Tirana. The stadium was initially called Dinamo Stadium until 1991 when it was given the Selman Stërmasi name, in honor of one of Albania’s best football players of all times.
