Parku i liqenit (Lake Park Tirana) is a large park surrounding an artificial lake to the South of Tirana. The once lush and tree lined park fell into disrepair some years hence, but a recent rejuvenation project saw the planting of many trees in the southern end of the park. Aside the artificial lake, there are wonderful botanical gardens (Kopshti Botanik) and the only zoo in Albania await visitors.
Visitors to the park will find ample green spaces for picnics and outdoor activities, as well as park benches, trails, and other highlights. This is a good spot to take a break from the hectic city center. The Botanic Garden of Tirana is one of the city’s most visited attractions by locals and tourists.
