Hotel-Restaurant Mangalemi

Hotel-Restaurant Mangalemi, also known locally as ‘Hoteli i Tomit’ (Tom’s Hotel), was the first hotel opened in Berat, after the fall of the dictatorship in 1991. The business first opened in 1993, with a small restaurant serving local traditional cuisine. The actual hotel opened in 1996, and today, it is one of the most popular, and comfortable hotels in the area.

You’ll find the hotel in the outskirts of the central area – only 300 m from the center, in the Mangalem neighborhood (hence the name), on the old Castle road. The hotel is close to the historical sites that made Berat a favorite Albanian destination. Additionally, the hotel itself stands on a historic site, on the ruins of the Ahmet Kurt Pasha home.

Hotel-Restaurant Mangalemi boasts 15 rooms divided into two levels: Standard and Superior. Each level is located in a characteristic house has its own history.
